We are working with our client in Artesia, New Mexico, to find an outgoing, licensed physical therapist to fill a permanent opening. This is a full time position working in an outpatient setting. Interested candidates must hold a current license/registration in PT and be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy. Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a.m.-5p.m/Closed 12p.m.-1p.m for lunch) Weekend Rotation (1 out of every 5 weekends). Artesia is located in southeastern New Mexico, nestled between the two larger cities of Roswell to the north and Carlsbad to the south. The Texas border is less than 100 miles away to the east and the beautiful mountains, including the towns of Cloudcroft and Ruidoso, are to the west.
Responsibilities of the Outpatient Physical Therapist
Provide quality outpatient physical therapy services from teens to geriatric
Evaluate and assess your patients to establish functional, measurable goals that promote restoration of functional abilities.
Realize your own potential to achieve your goals and overall excellence.
Advise and consult with the family and/or other caregivers as indicated to promote the client's level of progress toward mutually agreed upon goals and plan for discharge.
Participate in educating the client and the family or other caregivers to promote the client's progress toward mutually agreed upon goals.
Requirements of the Physical Therapist
Graduate of accredited Master s or Doctorate-level program in Physical Therapy
Must be eligible for current licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board
BLS required before employment begins
1+ year of experience
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting
Provide a quality customer service focus and an enthusiastic attitude
Compensation & Benefits
$38- $57/hour based on experience
