Job Description

Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a part time Behavioral Therapist (24 hours/week) for our on-site health center for a large, local employer in Overland Park, KS. This health center has a proactive, educative approach where employees are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.

The Behavioral Therapist is a vital partner within our multidisciplinary care team. You will diagnose, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans addressing relationship problems, patterns of behavior, and other personal issues. Key responsibilities include collecting information about clients, using techniques such as testing, interviewing, discussion, and observation; and conferring with other care team members to analyze individual cases and to coordinate counseling and other clinical services. Additionally, you will communicate medical knowledge in lay-person terms to enhance patient education and understanding of clinical and therapy-related conditions. Join our team today!

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Psychology, Child Development, Social Work or Sociology or related field
Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of KS
At least 3 years of work experience in providing individual therapy services in a health center setting

Preferred Qualifications:

Licensed in the state of MO and/or WA

Expectations:

Must live in or near the Overland Park, KS area
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of the position
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
